Flying Fijians head coach, Simon Raiwalui, hailed fallen Fijian Under-20 lock, Pasikali Naevo, as one of the best players in the squad.
He made the remarks during Naevo’s funeral service at the Ilagi Methodist Church in Nawaka, Nadi, today.
Raiwalui, who is also the Fiji Rugby High Performance Unit general manager said, he knew that Paskali was just like his dad, Api Naevo.
Api and Raiwalui played locks for the Flying Fijians during their time.
“With Pasi, we would talk about school and rugby opportunities,” Raiwalui said.
“For Api we have been former teammates and he was one of the best.”
Nadi Rugby’s Under-19 coach Aca Bibi said that Pasikali had lived the life of a champion.
