The major sponsors of the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua side will provide an $80,000 bonus payout for the back-to-back champions of the Super W title. The team defended their title when they defeated Queensland Reds 38-30 at Townsville, Queensland, Australia on Saturday night.
The bonus payout will be shared amongst the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua team.
Only 12 members of the team arrived in the country from Melbourne last night and were greeted by families, fans and staff of Rooster Chicken.
Rooster Poultry chief executive officer, Stanley Raniga said: “We are proud to be their sponsor. As part of the $1 million sponsorship over two years, the team will receive a bonus of $80,000 for retaining the Super W Title. As per discussions with Fiji Rugby, this will be distributed equally amongst the team.
