Police Blue, White Keep Low Profile

The Police rugby 7s teams are training in Nadi before they move to Suva to be in time for Friday’s Fiji Bitter Marist 7s kick-off.
The Law Enforcers are fielding Police Blue and Police White for the Marist tournament.
The Police White 7s side reached the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s Cup final last Saturday only for the match to be called off due to power outage.
The Police Blue side won the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s, Uluinakau 7s and the Waimanu 7s.
Team officials yesterday remained tight-lipped of their chances as former national 7s forward Mosese Volavola and Sale Tubuna worked on their set pieces while trainer Solo Donu focused on the teams’ fitness.
Last year, Police Blue win the Nawaka 7s only to lose to Tabadamu in the Marist 7s Cup final.
The Blues are likely to field wily playmaker Livai Ikanikoda, Kepony Paul, Rusiate Matai and former Flying Fijians winger Alipate Ratini who is slowly finding his form.
Meanwhile, other top contenders that have confirmed their participation are defending champions Tabadamu, Waimanu, Army Green, Hideaway Hurricanes and Wardens coached by former national 7s forward Sailosi Naiteqe.
