Police White Return To Malomalo 7s

We are thankful that funds collected from previous tour­naments we now have street­lights in the village.

The Apisalome Waqatabu captained- Police White side were unbeaten in their pool games during the first day of the Fiji Bitter Malomalo 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, yes­terday.

Police White beat Navutule­vu 17-10 and later thumped Kai Ni Yahawa 27-0.

In the same pool, Davetalevu beat Kai Ni Yahawa 19-0.

Another notable team in the competition is Keponi Paul captained- Police Blue who had an easy run.

They thrashed Biausevu 33-7 and later hammered Noi Toga 31-0.

The impressive Henish Nasovotava side beat Genesis Brothers 22-0 in their second pool match.

Hosts Malomalo Sharks edged Devo Babaas 12-10 while Nadrala held Army Red 7-7 draw.

Tournament coordinator, Jo­sese Vose said the main pur­pose of the tournament is to fund their village projects.

“This is for our water pro­ject,” he said.

“We are thankful that funds collected from previous tour­naments we now have street­lights in the village.

“Also we are working hard to build a village hall.”
