The $6million investment by Government in September, last year, to buy 51 per cent shares of the Fijian Drua shareholding rights is beginning to benefit the country in many ways.

To acquire major shares in Counter Ruck Limited with Fiji Rugby Union holding 49 per cent shares showed Government’s vision in using rugby as a lever for change to unite Fijian communities.

In addition, there are huge opportunities the Fijian Drua has created in sports tourism and other sectors as well especially when hosting six Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific matches.
