Prince Charles Park Gets $120,000 Upgrade

Nadi Town Council is spending $120,000 to improve facilities at the Prince Charles Park in preparation to Saturday’s Shop N Save Super Rugby first pre-season match be­tween the Swire Shipping Fijians Drua and Melbourne Rebels.

Nadi Town Council is spending $120,000 to improve facilities at the Prince Charles Park in preparation to Saturday’s Shop N Save Super Rugby first pre-season match be­tween the Swire Shipping Fijians Drua and Melbourne Rebels.

It is the first-ever trial match that Drua will host in Fiji, with Super Rugby head­ing to Prince Charles Park for the first time.

“Obviously, the game between Drua and Rebels needs a sort of infrastruc­ture level that suits the international level of the game,” Nadi Special admin­istrator chair Lawrence Kumar said.
