Pro Golfers Spice Up Lautoka Competition

Former Nadi Airport Golf Club member and now Japan based- professional golfer Rajiv Prasad was part of the action during the Philip’s Autoport Pte Limited sponsored Club Championship at the Lautoka Golf Club last Saturday.
The competition was the club’s season closing event.
Prasad joined the Western based- professional trio of Roneel Prakash, Munesh Prasad and Zoheer Ahmed who are all upcoming young golfers.

“I’m back home to rub shoulders alongside my many local professional team mates at the Natadola and Denarau golf courses,” Prasad said.
“I am keen to give free golfing lessons at LGC where I have noticed a number of upcoming young talents to nurture into becoming top golfers in the future.”
LGC tournament director, Abinesh Dass confirmed that the presence of the professional golfers added more spice to the tournament where many amateur golfers learnt the basics of the game and not just playing for the sake of competing.
The LGC is thankful to SUNsports for promoting the game locally with in-depth weekly reports.
This year (2023) was the most successful one for LGC with a record number of sponsored events staged weekly.
The icing on the cake was their $16,500 donation towards WOWS Kids Fiji.
