Expect a very competitive zone quarterfinals ahead, says Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union executive Biu Colati The Fiji Rugby Union board member said competition would get tougher towards the quarterfinals of respective zone competition.
The four zones are Southern,Western,Eastern and Northern. The Southern Zone Secondary Schools rugby competition have been playing a few rounds of competition before the zone quarterfinals this Saturday.
Schools like Marist Brothers High School, Suva Grammar School and Nasinu Secondary have been dominating the competition at the Suva Grammar School grounds.
“Heading into the end of the competition games and matches are getting tougher,” Colati said.
“Schools are realizing that the competition is getting tougher as we head into the finals. “It’s good to see outside schools stamping their mark in the competition to book their quarterfinal spot.”
“Teams like Nabua Secondary School, Lomary and Dudley are giving the big schools good competition. The competition has really grown and we know it’s going to be better heading to the national quarterfinals.”
In the Western Zone, schools played in their quarterfinal matches last Saturday.

U16: Suva Grammar 46-0 WCC, Suva Sangam 10- 3 John Wesley College
Western Zone
U19: Ra High School 11-3 Nilsen High School
U18: Cuvu College 31-19 Natabua High School, Ba Provincial Freebird Institute 8-3 Ratu Navua College.
Eastern Zone
U17: Lelean Memorial School 31-0 Vunimono High School
U18: Ratu Kadavulevu School 28- 11 Lelean Memorial School.
