Ra High upsets RKS in U19 quarters

A new winner will be crowned in this year’s Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools rugby league Under-19 grade.

This was after the Sevanaia Tuvuki- captained Ra High School ended Ratu Kadavulevu School’s dominance with a 16-6 win in the quarterfinals at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, this afternoon.

The Ra based- school led 8-0 at the breather.

Tuvuki said they came with a game plan and that was to shut the RKS Eels out.

"We knew that they are a tough team, with them having won the Under-19 title many times. We wanted to give our best shot," he said after the win.

In the other matches, Naitaisiri Secondary School walloped Ba Methodist High School 42- 12 in a one-sided affair.

Nasinu Secondary hammered Sigatoka Methodist College 28-10 after an 18-8 lead at the half time.

Western powerhouse Ba Provincial Freebird Institute shut out Queen Victoria School 20-4.
