Rabi High School (RHS) athletes will only participate in the field events at this year’s Coca-Cola games.
Returning after four years to the Games, the 14 students is the biggest number RHS has ever sent to the Fiji finals.
Students will compete in long jump, discus and shot put.
They last participated in 2019 with seven students representing the school.
Assistant team manager Ruby Kareo said most of them were in Suva for the first time.
“14 of these students got gold at the Savusavu zone, while one had silver,” she said.
““We’re excited to participate at this year’s Cokes."
“We’re not intimidated by the big schools, we want our athletes to enjoy themselves and have fun."
“This is the best from Cakaudrove East. They are not good in tracks but throwing and jumping.”
Three of the 14 athletes will participate in long jump.
The athletes are coached by former Coca-Cola games gold medallist thrower and head of physical education Solo Qisavola.
The Coca Cola Games starts on Thursday and ends on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Maritime zone competition will be held today.
