Rakisa: We Must Work Harder

He made the comments after they beat favourites Queen Victoria School 14-9 in the semi-final at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, last Saturday.
Speaking to SUNsports, Rakisa said everything is all about planning ahead.
“We started this journey when these boys were in the Under-15 and Under-16 but unfortunately COVID-19 came along,” he said.
“The boys didn’t lose hope and carried on with their preparations.
“We had to dig deep against QVS to get that win, they were a good team.
“This week we have to lift our game against Marist Brothers High School because they’ll come out firing.
“I’m so happy with the result and hats off to the boys for playing a good game.”
MBHS is favourites to win after they thrashed Ratu Kadavulevu School 32-3 in the second semi-final.
Rakisa said they are going back to the drawing board and work on areas they need to work on.
“This will be a good Under-17 final and it is like a dress rehearsal for next year’s Under-18 competition.
“We know it’s going to be tough but we are motivated by our big brothers’ (Under-18) achievements.
“It’s good that we have made it to the final against an old rivals Marist Brothers High School.
“Expect fireworks because both teams will want to set a benchmark for next year’s competition.
“Nothing changes for Grammar, we will have to work harder thanbefore as we will face a very good Marist side. The boys need to focus on the little things first.”
