Ratu Navula Preps On Track For Cokes

Ratu Navula College took out the boy’s division while Swami Vivekananda College topped the girls during the Nadi Zone Athletics competition at Churchill Park, Lautoka, yesterday.
RNC scooped 19 gold medals, 14 silver and 8 bronze in the boy’s competition while SVC won 29 gold, 12 silver and 8 bronze medals to claim the girl’s title.
RNC team coach Maciu Naivava said the school's inter-house competition helped sharpen the team's performance for the Nadi Zone.
"We had specific programmes for different events, gauging their weekly performance. We assessed them on a weekly basis. We understand we still meet the expectation to go and compete at the Cokes (Games) level, but we are 70 per cent as far as our prep is concerned, we are on the right track.”
