Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre, Kalaveti Ravouvou, is the saving the best for last.
He told SUNsports on Saturday night that he is adamant of making the Drua line-up to face the Chiefs in their final Super Rugby Pacific match at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.
Ravouvou is one of the finds of the Super Rugby competition. He gained 1042 metres during the competition placing him in fourth place with All Blacks and Hurricane fullback Jordie Barrett. Ahead of them are Will Jordan, Manasa Mataele and Vinaya Habosi.
Fondly known to family member as Taikala, Ravouvou hails from Nadroumai, Nadroga. He confirmed that he is paying a bus to take his family members to watch the first Super Rugby match on Western soil.
“I’m happy to be back and looking forward to the Chiefs game,” he said.
“Chiefs are a New Zealand based-team and they have a few All Blacks as well. So they will be giving us a hard game but I’m ready to play against them.
“I’m putting my hands up for selection. I want to play against the Chiefs but at the same time my team-mates will be fighting for their spots in the team.”
The Chiefs will arrive on Thursday.
