The Lelean Memorial School and Ratu Kadavulevu School Under-19 teams have booked their spots in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League quarterfinals.
Southern Zone president Akuila Vute said: With one more round of games to go next Saturday, schools have been competitive vying for a spot in the national playoffs.
“The schools have been impressive and as we come to the end of our competition, the top two schools will qualify to the nationals,” Vute said.
“We will look at points for and points against.”
“RKS and LMS under-19 have been showing impressive results and looks good for the quarterfinals.”
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League executive Lai Corerega was impressed with how the players maintained their fitness level with five weeks of competition.
“Competition got tougher for students, playing at different level but for them to maintain discipline and their skill level was impressive,” Corerega said.
Meanwhile in yesterday’s U-19 Vodafone Tanoa challenge John Wesley College upset Lelean Memorial School 7-4 while Ratu Kadavulevu School walloped Sila Central College 50-2.
