A rookie lock who plays for Bay of Plenty in the New Zealand National Provincial Championship is on a short term contract with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.
Etonia Waqa, 23, a former Fijian Under-20 rep has been named on the bench for the Drua in tomorrow's Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific clash against the Hurricanes at Suva's HFC Bank Stadium.
He is renowned for his strong running and offloading game. Drua head coach Mick Byrne has named Joseva Tamani to partner tireless Isoa Nasilasila at locks while resting Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta and Leone Rotuisolia.
