One of the world's most flamboyant and exciting rugby players, Rupeni Caucau, has hit out on critics about the F IJI Water Flying Fijians setting up camp in Welagi, Taveuni.
The Simon Raiwalui coached-national squad for the upcoming Pacific Nations Cup have been in Taveuni since Saturday:
Critics ranting on social media said the idea of the squad going to Welagi was a waste of time. Some suggested that this was done because the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU ) had no funds and running at a loss. Caucau said: "It is good change as the national side is always training in Suva."

Often described as one of the world's greatest- ever wingers, the former national rep is confident Raiwalui's men will cause upsets at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France in September.
Dubbed the 'Bua Bullet', he was guest and ambassador at the opening of Momo's Tavern and Whisky Bar in Nadi on Monday:
"This team has an abundance of superstars and hopefully it does disappoint like at the 2019 RWC," he said.
"In my view, it is a good choice of players assembled. I expect Simon to do his best in taking our team to the RWC and go beyond where Fiji reached previously:
"We all know that the World Cup is not an ordinary meet as it comes after every four years.
