Fijian athlete Fane Sauvakacolo was named Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week following the North Star Athletic Association weekly competition early this week.
The former Suva Grammar School sprint champion Sauvakacolo set a new Women’s Indoor Triple Jump at the Alumni Invitational in Mitchell, South Dakota with a jump of 11.35 meters (37 feet, 3 inches) during the North Star Athletic Association competition.
Sauvakacolo established a new school record and national qualifying mark in the triple jump with her leap winning the event title.
