Digicel national women’s football striker Trina Davis has finally joined her new Puerto Rico club, Sol, on Tuesday.

The USA based-rep had her first training session with the team on Wednesday.

Speaking to SUNSports, Davis said she is committed to prove her best.

“I’m excited to get back playing with the (Fiji) team again. Coach Lisa Cole (Fiji football women’s head coach) helped me find this club so I’m super grateful and thankful for what she has done.

“I’m happy to get back on schedule and play some games to be able to move forward to see what happens next.”

Her club, which comes under the Puerto Rican Football Association, enables her to take part in the Liga Puerto Rico.

She is looking forward to show her game in front of her family members.

“My family is happy they will come and visit me before I go back home so I’m excited for them to watch me play in a new place,” Davis said.

“At the age of 21 doing what I’ve done and being able to continue to make myself a better person and player. I’m definitely proud of myself and happy for my new journey.”

Davis has had a stint with the Israeli club ASA Tel Aviv.
