All sports break barriers, challenges stereotypes, and promote inclusivity,.

Minister for Youth and Sports, Jese Saukuru made the comment while opening the 2023 Western Council of Special and Inclusive Educators (Westcosie) McDonald’s Sports & Fun Day at the Churchill Park, Lautoka yesterday.

He added that in a world that often highlights differences, it was crucial to recognise that every individual, regardless their abilities; deserve equal opportunities to thrive and succeed.

“This sports and fun day is breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and promoting inclusivity for all.”

He said throughout the years, they have witnessed extraordinary display of talent, determination, and passion from athletes and participants with diverse abilities.

“It is a reminder that our differences should not limit us but rather serve as a source of strength and inspiration.
