The Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl is staying in Nasova for another year.

This was after Police fought back from the brink of defeat to hold Republic of Fiji Military Forces 11-11 yesterday.

As per competition rule, in case of a draw, the defending champion retains the Bowl.

A big crowd gathered at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, as Police took an early 3-0 lead from the boots of veteran utility back Apisalome

Waqatabu.

The fired-up RFMF side came back strongly with winger Onisimo Nawalu scoring an unconverted try for a 5-3 lead.

Nawalu again booted over a penalty to extend RFMF's lead to 8-3 at halftime.

Police captain James Brown led from the front as they came back in the second half.

Pressure rugby took its toll on RFMF as Police winger Jone Dukumoi scored a try to level the scores at 8-8.

Then Police moved up to 11-8 from a Jack Volavola penalty before RFMF leveled the scores 11-11 minutes away from full-time.

RFMF goal-kicker Sanaila Daliga had a bad day with his boots as he missed a few kickable penalties, which could have turned the match into their favour
