The Fiji Police Force football team although have majority of district players from the Digicel Premier League competition lack combination says manager Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Surend Sami.
The law enforcing officers take on the Republic of Fiji Military Forces team in the FMF Ratu Sukuna Bowl football challenge at 10am tomorrow at the Fiji FA grounds in Vatuwaqa.
The Inosi Cava coached side is laced with star players like top goal scorer Sairusi Nalaubu, Simione Tamanisau, Gabiriele Matanisiga, Tevita Waranivalu, Remueru Takiate, Akuila Mataisuva.
“The Army team is always tough. They are very fit as they started training two to three weeks before us,” Sami said.
“They are preparing well. We cannot underestimate them.
“They have a blend of experienced and young players.
“They are a good team as well.
“We have the advantage, provided the combination works.
“For us (Police) the players are from other districts, about six districts.
“Time was not on our side to blend in the combination, but we will see how it goes tomorrow.”
The main Sukuna game (rugby union) kicks off at 4pm at the ANZ Stadium.
