Step Down: Bula Tells Ba FA Officials After 4-3 Shocker

Former Ba and national football star striker Taito Bula last night has called on the Ba Football Association executives to resign.
This was after the Ba football side suffered a shock 4-3 loss to Samoan club Lupe o le Soaga in the OFC Champions League at the Stade Pater Te Hono Nui in Tahiti yesterday.
Ba were lost from the opening whistle as they were down 4-0 at halftime. They tried hard in the second half but managed three goals scored by Malakai Tiwa, Saula Waqa and Samuela Drudru to narrow the deficit 4-3.

This is Ba’s second loss in Group D which means the Ricki Herbert-coached side are out of the Champions League.
“It is a big embarrassment in Fijian football history to lose to a club from Samoa, forget about the national team,” Bula told SUNsports.
“Ba is Fiji’s district champion club and it holds records that is not even matched by any other team. To be honest we cannot find words to show this disappointment especially as a former Ba rep.
“To the executives of Ba Football please do the right thing and step down. To the players do have the guts and play with pride in this era of the game at least.
“Why spend money and time to bring in a coach from New Zealand. Same to the imports they are shameless bunch of players ever to represent Ba in the O- League.”
The Samoan club based in Tuanaimato in Apia went down 6-0 to hosts AS Venus in their first pool match while Ba lost to Auckland City with the same score line in their opening match on Sunday.
Ba will play AS Venus on Sunday at 6pm in their final Group match.
