The Law Solution sponsored- Vanuabalavu Rugby Club received a timely boost of a set of jerseys and training wear last Saturday at the Suva Peninsula Hotel.
Seashell and Company boss and first Pacific Islander to represent All Blacks in 1967 Arthur Jennings’ sponsorship was on time for the club’s participation in the FMF Suva Rugby Union Koroturaga Challenge elimination rounds this week.
Speaking to SUNsport, Vanuabalavu Rugby chairman Lasarusa Turaga said they were fortunate to have Jennings’ support.
“He (Jennings) is a good friend of Jone Buadromo from Vanuabalavu, we are lucky to also benefit from this friendship,” Turaga said.
“It also included polo shirts, t-shirts, socks, pants, muscle vests; we are so grateful, “he said.
“The support has been huge as it sets a bigger picture of supporting grassroots rugby at the lowest level, “he said.
“This is an opener for the youths of Vanuabalavu and to those who are interested to play for Vanuabalavu in the Koroturaga challenge.”
Seashell and Co. is a real estate company in Yadua, Nadroga that trades selling beachfront freehold lots.
Turaga added they were looking to venture into the possibility of securing a club house in Suva’s Central Business District with the support of Jennings to further develop the club.
