Suva rugby head coach Solo Nute revealed to SUNsports yesterday that his players had undergo anger management counselling to sort out their discipline before Saturday’s Skipper Cup match against visitors Naitasiri.
This was after Suva copped one red card and one yellow card in their clash against Nadroga last Saturday.
“The main thing is discipline,” Nute said.
“It’s an area of concern especially when we played with 13 men due to ill-discipline by some of our players,” Nute said.
“We need some experienced players to guide the younger players during the game,”

Nute said three players from his side sustained injuries in the game against Nadroga.
“The injured players are currently in rehab and will recover by Thursday as advised by our team doctor,” he said.
“We have depth in our squad, so we’ve suitable replacements.”
Nute said they would need to improve on their set piece and defensive line.
“I hope we will iron up these areas along with our discipline before we face Naitasiri on Saturday.
“We thank the sevens (rugby) set-up for the training of Sakiusa Siqila and Terio Tamani who did not show any signs of fatigue on the field, which indicates their fitness level.” Nute said he trust the system that he has implemented in their squad against tough opponents.
“Even with the 13 men last week, we held our defense and were eager to win the game,” he said.
“We are inviting all our Suva supporters to come out in numbers and we hope that we come out victorious at the end of the game this Saturday.”
The match kicks-off at 3pm.
