Swami Vivekananda College (SVC) is leading the Nadi Sec­ondary Schools Zone compe­tition at the International School grounds yesterday.

SVC won six gold medals in the boys division and seven in the girls.

The three-day event started on Tuesday with javelin and discus.

Track and field events continued yesterday, with all finals scheduled for today:

14 schools are participating, in­cluding new entrants Ratu Meli Saukuru Secondary School and Nawaka College.

Zone delegate Isikeli Toutou said the inclusion of the new schools have strengthened competition.

"We are including Magodro Sec­ondary School this year. We thank the principal for allowing the stu­dents to participate," he said.

"As of today, SVC is leading with six golds in the boys' division and seven in the girls', making a total of 13 gold medals. The rest are closely contested in second and third places, with the finals to be held today:"
