National champion Candidate Master (CM) Taione Sikivou and women’s champion Tanvi Prasad, 16, of Jai Narayan College will represent team Vodafone Fiji in the 2023 Oceania Zonal Chess Championship in Melbourne, Australia next week.
“Our players will wear Vodafone Fiji Polo T-shirts and jackets to inspire them while playing next week,” general secretary Goru Arvind said.
The 2023 OZCC features 253 open players and 43 women from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Nauru and Guam.
