Tavua has issued a warning to other teams after their 2-0 win against Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League yesterday.
The win at Garvey Park, Tavua comes one week after the westerners stunned Suva 1-0 at home.
They are now second on the table with six points after 4 games, one behind leaders Ba.
“The other teams who are taking us lightly, this is a sound-warning to them. At Garvey Park, come prepared because we are going to give our best,” Tavua coach Nazeel Ali said.
Sumit Goundar opened proceedings in the 15th minute as Tavua led 1-0 at half-time.
In the 53rd minute, the impressive Husseini Khan made it 2-0 to.
Rewa’s defeat comes one week after the side lost 1-0 to Labasa at home, increasing the pressure on interim coach Nigel Khan.

Tavua coach Nazeel Ali said: “A special thanks goes to our striker, Temesi Tuwai, who is playing after five years and he did extremely well.
“We were in it from the beginning and the boys stuck to the game plan that we had and we were able to neutralise the attack of Rewa.”
He said the team kindly requested major sponsors to come forward and support as they did not have any major sponsor at the moment.
Rewa head coach, Nigel Khan, said: “The boys played according to their their own structure and didn’t follow the game plan.
He said the team still had a lot of work to do to do better.
