Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team will have the much- needed support during the USA Sevens in Las Vegas at the weekend.

The Thank God I’m Fijian (TGIF) fan group from Vancouver is in Sin City to cheer on their former countrymen.

Ajesh Raj, a Vancouverite, said the 10-man member group have long been doing the USA Sevens and nothing has changed despite Vancouver hosting the sixth leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series in the last three years, next weekend being the fourth event.

“We continue with the Las Vegas tradition, one that started in 2010”, he said.

“Not that Vancouver leg is any less attractive, it is what it is”.

Rai said the excitement level hasn’t changed, it has only spiralled.

Jagat Singh says the USA Sevens brings out the best in the group.

He said it is the Fiji sevens rugby and the party atmosphere that makes the trip that much more thrilling.

“Vegas is by far the best event on the circuit for obvious reasons.

“We do it out of love for Fiji 7s team”.

Rai added, Fiji 7s team needs to up the ante from the very get go and end their 2- year winless run.

Fiji last won in Vegas in 2016.
