Suva football has brought in Tuka Tisam to guide the capital city side this new season.

Tisam, 31, is the former Cook Island Midfielder who played for Nikao Sokattack F.C. in the Cook Islands Round Cup and the national team.

Suva FC president Ritesh Pratap confirms this yesterday.

“Tisam joined Suva on Tuesday and his first task will be the Vodafone Premier League against Nadi this Saturday,” Pratap said.

Naisua to join Suva

National rep Sakaraia Naisua is expected to feature for the Suva football side against Jacks Nadi in the Vodafone Premier League match this Saturday.

The Nailaga, Ba native did not play against Lautoka where the men in white lost 2-1 Suva Football Association failed to register him.

Suva coach Riyaz Ali, “Unfortunately he was not registered and we hope to do that this week so he can play in the left back position.”

He said the capital city is expected to beef up their tempo in this crucial match.

“There were blunders in the defence and we need to work on that. There was a change in the goalkeeper and we had to bring in another goal keeper,” Ali added.

“We have to go back and tidy the defence a little, connect the midfield position since those were the area it had blunders.”

On the other hand, Nadi is expected to complete their soul searching after the major upset in the 1-0 loss to minnows Tavua last Sunday.

“We have to improve our game this time around, it was a big lesson for us, we cannot be slacking off this way,” said team manager Abdul Khan.

Suva will host Nadi at the Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on Saturday, 6pm.

Meanwhile, in the other matches, Labasa will host giant killers Tavua at Subrail Park, Labasa at 1.30pm.

On Sunday, Tavua will face Dreketi at the Subrail Park, Labasa at the same time.
