The Peni Tikosaya coached- West Fiji Dolphins start their 2018 Fiji National Rugby League campaign by taking on Nadi Eels at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, today.
“Everyone at the Dolphins has respect for the Nadi Eels side,” Tiko saya said.
“They are strong in every aspect of the game and we’re expecting a tough battle.
“We know they have some of the best players in Fiji in their line-up so it will be a great challenge for us, but one that we will relish.”
Tikosaya has urged all their supporters to be at the ground to cheer them on.
“We would love to see as many people as possible at the stadium- particularly if they are wearing the Dolphins colours.
“Even if you have never attended a game before we can guarantee you it will be a fantastic day of entertaining rugby league.
“There is so much local talent in rugby league and some of the players in action will go on to enjoy successful careers in the game.” Also the West Fiji Dolphins will compete in the Under-18 competition against Ravoravo Rabbitohs.
“Our Dolphins played the Rabbitohs a number of times last year and we managed to come out on top so we know that they will be out for revenge.
“We have retained the vast majority of our squad from last year and added a few more players who we felt could add value to the squad. It will be interesting to see how we gel,” he added.
Meanwhile, everyone will be looking forward to the penultimate game, the grand final replay between Sabeto Roosters and Ravoravo Rabbitohs.
