A new winner will be crowned in the Under- 15 division of the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition this year.

This was after defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School was not represented in the quarter-final clash at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, today.

However, leading the charge from Tailevu, the Pita Seniyasi captained-Queen Victoria School side who came from behind to beat Sigatoka Valley High School 24-6.

QVS led 8-6 in the first half with their tries coming from Viliame Derenalagi, Patrick Toka, Tomasi Sakurea, Peni Salabogi, and Saimoni Lepa. The conversions were made by Rainibogi and Lepa.

Seniyasi said, "It was a tough match today, we prepared well but we came back strong in the second spell. We thank God for the leadership."

In other U15 quarterfinals, Sigatoka Methodist High upset Nasinu Secondary 8-6 after trailing 0-4 at the breather.

Debutants Nasau Central Panther came from behind to beat Nabua Secondary Broncos 14-12 despite trailing 4-6 at half-time.

The Robert Wise coached- Ba Methodist High School has etched their name in the history books after they defeated Lelean Memorial School 22-10. The Nailaga based-school took a handy lead 18-0 over LMS at the break.

"For the first time we have a team that will be represented in the semi-final. this history of the school as far as rugby league is concerned. Well, done boys," said Wise.
