The world’s leading deodorant brand Rexona, which is synonymous of building confidence amongst athletes and sports loving people has partnered with Bula Events Group of Suva as the major sponsors of the 2022 Business House Mixed Volleyball League which will start on Wednesday, May 25, at the National Netball Centre in Suva.

The competition will run for 10 weeks.

Event organiser Alan Kumar said the event which has been sanctioned under the rules and regulations of the Fiji Volleyball Federation will also provide a platform to raise awareness on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the community.

“While the aim is to minimise NCDs in our country through sporting activities, we are also promoting volleyball to identify the raw talents, encourage social networking and promote healthy living all at the same time,” Kumar said.

“As we are hosting a volleyball event for the very first time, we expect to field 32 teams with a total participation of almost 500 players this year. The partnership with such an iconic brand like Rexona could not have come at a better time.”

Kumar said the Volleyball League is a great sports networking event for the Suva business community and this has been proven with the success they had last year by hosting a one-day competition.

“A total prize money of $3000 is set for the competition and to provide quality competition we have created a close working relationship with the Suva Volleyball Association to deliver the best results and participation levels.” –Bula Events Group
