While former national netball captain Vasiti Vugakoto is questioning the timeline set by Netball Fiji (NF) regarding the naming of the Fijian Pearls team to the World Cup, NF's chief executive officer Vivian Koster says they have time.

"World Cup in South Africa is six months away, yet they (NF) have not named the core team. The other countries have named their national sides, here we are still calling for expression of interest from overseas players for World Cup trials," Vugakoto said yesterday.

"There is a possibility that local players are not attending the preseason training because they have lost faith in the system. Overseas players are of the same level as the locals - none of them are X-factor (exceptional) players," the former Suva netball president said.
