Vunivutu FC lead Nadogo league Competition

The Nadogo Football Association kicked off their 2019 local League competition last Sunday.

This year’s competition saw clubs like Daku, Naleba, Coqeloa, Wavuwavu, Vuni­vutu and Malau present during the first round of competition at Daku Primary School ground outside Labasa.

Nadogo FA committee treasurer Moham­med Faizal said each team would have to play five games in the league.

“The best four teams will qualify for the semi-finals,” Faizal said.

“The final will be held next month once the round robin games are completed. The winner will receive $300 and runners- up will pocket $150. So far Vunivutu FC is lead­ing with five points, followed by Malau FC and Wavuwavu FC three points each while Daku FC and Naleba FC Coqeloa FC have yet to register a point.”

Faizal said, they are grateful to Din’s Tabarak, Hanif Industries, and Satya’s Plumbing and Building for backing the league competition.
