Wainimala upsets Jasper in semifinal

The Iva Tunidau captained- Wainimala Secondary School rugby league team has qualified to their first grand final of the Pherrus Trophy.
This was after they upset Jasper Williams High School 12-0 in the semi-final at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, this morning.
Both teams were levelled 0-0 at halftime.
WSS’s tries came from dummy half Raijieli Likudrau and Tunidau. Likudrau kicked both conversions.
Tunidau said their aim was to make the final.
"We lost in the quarterfinal last year, so we wanted to finish better (this year)," she said.
"The girls played their hearts out and we will celebrate now and work on the next match from Monday."
In the other semi-final, Naitasiri Secondary School beat Ra High School 22-14 in a torrid encounter.
