The sleek midfield combina­tion of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua inside centre Kalaveti Ravouvou and outside center con­sisting of Apisalome Vota is the formiable combination in the Fly­ing Fijians team.

The pair have been regular start­ers for the Fijian Drua side - tonight is their sixth game together in the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific as Mel­bourne Rebels hosts them at the AAMI stadium.

Speaking to SUNsports, head coach Mick Byrne highly rated the duo comparing them to some of the world’s top midfield players.

“They have been great for us and their combination has been work­ing well,” Byrne said.

“When you look back a few years back players like Ma’a Nonu, Con­rad Smith, Tim Horan and Jason Little if you want to go all the way back,” he said.

“Such partnership is quite strong.

“We have some good teams, good results from that type of good part­nership.

“It has been great for us to have the luxury having these two players combining well.

“They been great for us their com­bination has been working well.

“Both their fitness stands out, their partnership stands out during matches.

“They are big players in the field and they play a huge role in the team.

“We are very happy with how they’re going and they have a huge rugby career ahead of them.

“It’s very early in their careers to be playing every minute and they are also training every week.

“I’m very happy and impressed with these two gentlemen and how they continue to play every week.”

They will be a force to be reckon with through the entire Super Rug­by Pacific rugby championship.

Kalaveti Ravouvou started his rugby career in Nadroga before he joined Namosi and made a name for himself.

His partner Apisalome Vota start­ed his rugby career for cureent INKK Fiji Rugby Farebrother Tro­phy holders Naitasiri before he joined Suva rugby.
