Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team win bronze and remain in third spot of 2017/ 18 Series table
The Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team will again face Kenya and France in this weekend’s Vancouver Sevens in Canada.
The Gareth Baber-coached side took the bronze in the USA Sevens when they beat South Africa 26-22 at the Sam Boyd Stadium yesterday. They still are in third spot of the 2017/18 World Sevens Series points table. Kenya beat the Fijians 17-14 in their final pool clash on Sunday and were bundled out in the Cup quarterfinals.
USA who won their own tournament are the top seed for Pool A where they face Australia, Canada and Uruguay. Losing finalist Argentina head Pool B where they take on England, Wales and Samoa. The Fijians are in Pool C with Kenya, France and Spain while defending series champions South Africa are in Pool D where they battle New Zealand, Scotland and Russia.
Meanwhile, Captain Seremaia Tuwai was included in the Las Vegas Dream Team.
