Weather played a critical role in Ratu Navula College’s downfall in the 2022 Vodafone Super Deans Undeer-19 final at Churchill Park, Lautoka, today.
The side lost 15-8 in the waterlogged ground. The Nadi based- school trailed 8-3 at the breather.
Team manager Prasheel Prasad said, “Our boys played their hearts out. We came here to win but Ra High was a better team.”
For the first time in the Dean's history two Western teams faced each other in the final.
“Definitely, we have been through a lot. People have been looking down at Ratu Navula but we took down QVS and Lelean Memorial School,” Prasad said.
“We were looking forward to this game but the weather was not in our favour. But the boys have done their best to come up.
“From next year definitely Ratu Navula will come out stronger next year.”
He thanked those that came to support the team.
