Getting a top world ranking or winning titles is not a priority for Fiji super welterweight champion Winston 'Real Deal' Hill.

Hill revealed this to SUNsports yesterday during an interview at his Box Fit Gym in Suva.

"My real goal is to fight and make enough money to buy my family a house and actually call Fiji our home," the 30-year-old boxer said.

"I do not care about rankings, titles and legacy because I just want to provide for my family."

Hill highlighted that one of the problems he had been encountering is the lack of sparring partners.

However, it has not deterred him from his daily training sessions for his May 18 fight against Jyl Wright of Australia for the vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Asia Pacific super welterweight title fight at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.

This is the main bout of the South Pacific Boxing Promotions.

"Preparations been very good as we're at a place where we want to be; physically and mentally and I got experience in the bag with three titles under our belt," he said.

"This is the toughest fight yet for me and I'll promise you it will also be my opponent toughest fight as well."

Despite the limited resources, Hill said he is fortunate to have a solid team behind him.

"We have preparing for a big tittle fight here in Fiji. I want to show the world that we have what it takes to make a mark on the world stage." Hill described Wright as a slick boxer and a New South Wales champion.

"He's (Wright) got some skills, I want to put him to the test, and I never predict a knockout, but I want to test myself as well," he said.

"I want to show everything that I learnt throughout the 10 years of my boxing career." Hill has urged the boxing fans in Fiji to turn up in numbers and witness a night of incredible boxing.

"The hope is to carry that title out of Prince Charles Park and be victorious. I won't leave any stone unturned as the camp has been great and I've always put God first throughout my title fights; everything else has fallen through."

Hill said he intends to show Wright that Fijians also have the niche to be top notch boxers.

"We have the skills and I'll teach him how to box and brawl, so it'll be a boxing masterclass with some brawls. It's going to be very exciting, and I look forward to stepping in the ring and showcasing to Fiji what we've been working on."

Hill has assured his fans that Team Hill merchandise would be available and sold at the gate next weekend.
