Fiji boxer Krishna Mudaliar is the new Australian National Boxing Federation's (ANBF) New South Wales (NSW ) cruiserweight champion.
The 34-year-old stopped Paul Houteas in the fifth round during their title bout at the Arena Sports Club in Yagoona, NSW, last Saturday night.
Mudaliar thanked Bryan Roberts of Full Throttle Fight Gym in Canberra where he completed his training camp.
"Bryan and his partner went above and beyond to help me with my preparation, even opening up their home to make sure I had everything I needed during camp," he said.
"Bryan is a true legend. We've shared the ring three times, fighting each other with bad intentions inside the ropes, but outside the ring we've become great mates.
"Thank you so much, my brother. I truly appreciate everything you've done for me."
Krishna said during his final week of training he did a bit of training at the Haider Fight Gym in Liverpool.
"A massive thank you to Sebastian Singh for all the support. I remembered winning my first title with you by my side and training under your dad Gyan Singh. Then again we're making history by winning another title together.
Thank you for always pushing me to my limits and bringing the best out of me."
Mudaliar also thanked Justin Kennedy for always looking after him in the boxing scene.
"Your support, encouragement, and motivation throughout this fight camp have been incredible. It has given me a huge boost in confidence."
The hard punching M udaliar was also grateful to his wife's (Farisha) support.
"Thank you for helping me stay focused, taking time off work to drive me to Canberra for training camp."
