Nanovu issues challenge

Nanovu and Khan will contest a six-round flyweight bout over three-minute rounds.

Brave boxing club’s Laite Nanovu says she is ready to test herself against India’s Anam Khan in the only women’s contest on the Kings Boxing Promotion card at Vodafone Arena, Suva on July 25.

Nanovu added, she respected her opponent’s experience but was confident of putting on a strong performance.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge,” Nanovu said.

“I know she’s a good and experienced boxer who will bring her best, but I’m prepared for her.”

Nanovu and Khan will contest a six-round flyweight bout over three-minute rounds.

Nanovu also called on boxing fans to support the event.

“I’d like to invite all our supporters and boxing fans to come out in numbers and support local boxing,” she said.
