It has been a learning journey for lightweight boxer Mohammed Ali as he returns to the ring this Saturday.

Ali takes on Jone Tabuarua of Qelekuro, Tailevu, in a four-round bout under the Bluewater Boxing Promotions at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

“I’ve lost fights previously but it has been against champion boxers,” Ali said.

“I don’t do cherry picking or choose my opponents and recently I’ve been not fighting. During that time I’ve learnt from my mistakes.”

The stylish lightweight boxer said from now on he’ll only fight within the 57-61 kilogrammes (kg) weight division.

Ali has faced top welterweight boxers like Rakuro Morini Sammy Morini, Mikaele Ravalawa, Shiva Mishra and Ronald Naidu.

“To my supporter, I’ll try not to let you down,” Ali added.

The main bout sees former Fiji heavyweight champion James ‘Beast’ Singh taking on Sainivalati Ratu of Navosa.

In the main supporting bout Ravalawa takes on Kaliova Tahikia, in an anticipated thriller while veteran Jese Ravudi makes his comeback against promising Filise Nabua in a six-round fight.
