The Roylux Realty-sponsored Ba football has put celebrations on hold and shifted its full attention back to the Extra Premier League despite ending a 16-year Fiji FACT title drought.
The forward-looking focus is stronger than simply revisiting the title win.
Ba Football Association president Praneel Dayal says the team has shifted its focus back to league duties after winning the Fiji FACT title.

“We are back to business. We have a very important league match, and the boys are determined to do well.”
Dayal said plans to celebrate the Fiji FACT victory would be decided by the board at a later date.
“For the celebrations, not at the moment. I have to go back to the board, and we will fix a date and time for the celebration,” he said.
He said players would receive a share of the prize money and bonuses after discussions with the board and sponsors.
“We have promised the boys a bonus. Once the board sits down, we will get more support from Ba businesses and sponsors, and then decide how much each player will get.”
Dayal said winning the tournament in Labasa was a major achievement for the club.
“Winning Fiji FACT after 16 years and bringing a cup back from Vanua Levu after 51 years is a big achievement for me as president and for the boys who have worked really hard,” he said.
“They were determined. After beating Labasa, we knew playing Navua would also be difficult. We worked hard, and the results went our way.”
