Discipline in an area Roylux Realty Ba football team needs to work on in the BiC Fiji FACT tournament.

This was the gist of Ba head coach Ravinesh Kumar’s interview with SUNsports following their 4-1 win over 10-men Manasa Exports Nadroga side in their group opener at Subrail Park, Labasa, yesterday.

Kumar said mental toughness would be crucial against the Blues (Lautoka) who also won with the same score-line against Nasinu.

“The unnecessary cards we got, one was a yellow card against our goalkeeper- these things, they need to be controlled,” Kumar said.

“We are expecting a good game against Lautoka.”

The Men-in black were held to a 0-0 draw at halftime before Nadroga goalkeeper Sakeo Taganeca was sent off, which gave them the advantage.

John Alick gave Ba the lead after he drew first blood in the 48th minute.

Ba firmly took control, seven minuteslater when Ryan Naresh slammed in the second goal. Then stepped in Etonia Dogalau scoring two goals in the 59th minute and 61st minute.

Nadroga managed a consolation goal to Kehinde Adejumo.

“I believe all the players stood out, whole 11 players, plus those on the bench, they went in and did well.

“The new players are gelling in well, have adjusted and adapted themselves to the playing style in the system, which is very good.”

Kumar added that while he would be addressing the team’s discipline being shown cards was part of the game.
