Babasiga Lions hope to end 26-year B.O.G. drought

The first semi-final will see Labasa take on Navua while Rewa will play Lautoka in the second semifinal match at Subrail Park, Labasa this weekend.
Labasa, Lautoka, Rewa and Navua have booked their spot for the Extra Supermarket Battle of the Giants semifinals this weekend.
Lautoka will try and defend their trophy while host Labasa hopes to end their 26-year drought at home.
Speaking to SUNsports, Labasa head coach Alvin Chand expressed his appreciation for the support of the home crowd as they booked their semi-final spot.
"We want to win the cup," Chand said.
"That is our goal from day one of the competition," he said.
With the challenge of guiding the home side to a home glory win, Chand believes his team has what it takes.
"We are a mixture of young and experienced players.
"To reach the semi-finals is a huge achievement from the boys," he added.
Chand urges Labasa supporters to turn up in numbers and be the 12th man on the field this weekend.
