Mohammed Mosheem stole the hearts of many football fans when he participated in the Fiji Football Association’s kids’ programme last Saturday.

The five-year-old budding footballer was declared Champion of the Day and made a Fiji Football Young Ambassador with free lifetime entry to all matches sanctioned by the national body.

Mosheem survived a house fire when he was 18 months old and the same fire was where he lost his mother. He bears the scars of that tragedy all over his body.

Fiji FA has confirmed that Mosheem is the guest of honour at the semifinals and final of the 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants at Churchill Park, Lautoka, starting today.

He will lead out the teams and match officials of the two semi-finals and the final, carrying the official match ball to the centre spot.

Today’s semifinal fixtures: 2pm Ba v Rewa; 4pm Nadi v Suva.
