Rusiate Matarerega ringed in the New Year with a renewed sense of optimism.

And with a toast, he offered his message of hope and prosperity.

The Nadi football forward is hopeful for better things to come in 2021.

He said Covid-19 pandemic has had caused hard­ships to every Fijians.

“Huge impact on the lives of Fijians”, he said.

“No regrets on the year that we bid farewell, one that gravely impacted all walks of life, work, travel and sports.”

Matarerega said his personal goal was to care more about people who are in desperate need and to help one another.

“I know that there is always that sunlight after eve­ry storm,” he said.

He is heading into 2021 with positive mindset, and a promise.

“Improving myself as a dad, a son and especially my football from where I left off in 2020.”[social link="https://www.facebook.com/fijisun/" icon="62221"]
