Khan Strikes 2 In Ba’s IDC Win

Moshin Khan scored two goals for the VR Builders Ba football side as they beat Navua 2-0 to win the Digicel sponsored Fiji Muslim Sports Association Interdistrict Championship at  Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.

The Tavua-based Policeman scored a goal in each half.

Ba were led by midfielder Abbu Zahid, Xavier College’s Year 12 student Nabil Begg Kutti and the Kasim brothers.

Navua had the services of Nasir Hussain, Zainal Ali and Mosese Balenaqaqa.

Ba coach Timoci Seru said it was a good weekend of competition.

“I thank the boys for their commitment since most of them were working. It was a challenge but we managed to do it.”

He also thanked the sponsors and their families for the support.

Seru added that they are now looking forward to the 2021 FANCA Club Championship set for the end of the year.

Minister for Youth and Sports Parveen Bala also thanked Digicel for supporting the event.

In the semi-finals, Navua beat Valelevu 7-6 on penalty kicks while Ba walloped Labasa 3-1.
