Labasa captain calls for more support

Defending BiC Fiji FACT champions Extra Supermarket Labasa will be captained by reliable defender Akeimi Ralulu.

The hosts played Glamada Suva last night at Subrail Park when this edition went to press.

“It’s a proud moment for me to lead Labasa to the 2026 tournament,” Ralulu said.

He said preparations under head coach Alvin Chand have been on track.

“We had a few new players joining us and also the players from Bula FC,” he said.

Ralulu said playing at home they are expecting higher expectations from fans.

“Everything is going well in the team for the past weeks. Yes, there’s a lot of expectation for this team. There’s a lot of pressure from the fans, but we’ll get out and try to do our best to make our fans proud,” he said.

“My final message to the fans, please come out in big numbers to support your team. We’ll need more support from you here at home,” he added.
