Labasa FA signs three overseas players to boost squad

Labasa Football Association has strengthened its squad by signing two Ni-Vanuatu players and one Solomon Islands international ahead of the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion Series and the upcoming Extra Premier League season.

The Labasa Football Associa­tion (Labasa FA) has roped in two Ni Vanuatu players and one from Solomon Islands to strengthen their team.

The Babasiga Lions have lost four key players- Sitiveni Rakai, Rusiate Doidoi, Jimson Abana and Ilisoni Lolaivalu- in the current Transfer Window. Veteran striker Christo­pher Wasasala is tied up with the Bula FC and Lekima Gonerau with the Papua New Guinea Hekari FC.

The Labasa FA has secured the release of Miller Loloa and Gerard Avock of Vanuatu along with Chris Hatarau. They are going to avail­able for the upcoming Pillay Gar­ments Champion versus Champion Series against Rewa on February 8 followed by the Extra Premier League.

Loloa is expected to strengthen Labasa's strike force after being Port Vila Football Association top scorer during the 2023/24 season. He will be supported by Vanuatu rep and right wing Avock while veteran Hatarau to boost the side
